Dorothy Raizman

Mrs. Dorothy Raizman is a partner at Raizman Frischman & Matzus, P.C.  She has practiced exclusively in the area of medical malpractice for the last 30 years.  Graduating from Chatham College in 1968 with the distinction of Phi Beta Kappa, she pursued a career teaching for three years before attending law school.  She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1977.

Leadership - Mrs. Raizman is a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County, a prestigious honor which she shares with other members of the legal community who have distinguished themselves as litigators. Membership is strictly by invitation only.

Experience - Mrs. Raizman has committed her professional career to understanding the science of medicine and representing individuals injured in medical settings. She has handled a wide variety of medical malpractice cases, including those involving birth injuries, misdiagnosis of cancer, spinal cord compression, neurologic impairment, improperly treated medical emergencies and cardiac presentations, undiagnosed and untreated infections and their devastating complications, and vaccine injuries.

Commitment to the Community - Dorothy Raizman has mirrored her professional interests with her charitable involvement. She has been honored to sit on the boards of Chatham College, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and, most recently, the American Liver Foundation.

Craig Frischman

Attorney Craig Frischman, a lifelong resident of Western Pennsylvania, is a partner at Raizman Frischman & Matzus, P.C. He received his bachelor's degree (with honors) in 1983 and his Juris Doctorate degree in 1986 from the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Frischman has extensive experience handling a wide array of personal injury cases.

Leadership - Attorney Frischman is an invited member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers in Allegheny County and a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Allegheny County Bar Association, the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, and the Association of Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America, and was recently invited to join the prestigious Million Dollar Advocate Forum. He has been privileged to be named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer by Philadelphia Magazine, an honor bestowed on the top 5 percent of attorneys in Pennsylvania. Mr. Frischman currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. Jason Matzus

Mr. Matzus is a partner at Raizman Frischman & Matzus, P.C. Jason Matzus attended Gettysburg College, graduating Magna Cum Laude and 12th overall in his class in 1990 with dual degrees. In 1995, he graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law with a Juris Doctorate.

Leadership – Recognition by one’s peers and colleagues is an open testament to a person’s professionalism, knowledge, skill, and integrity. Attorney Jason Matzus is currently the president of the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, which covers 26 counties in Western Pennsylvania. Additionally, Attorney Matzus is an elected officer of the Executive Committee and Board of Governors of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the largest professional organization for trial lawyers in Pennsylvania with approximately 3,000 members. Additionally, he is an invited member of the prestigious Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer, both of which are designations reserved for the top attorneys in their field. Attorney Matzus is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of PIttsburgh School of Law.

Experience – Attorney Jason Matzus has significant experience in handling all types of personal injury claims, including those resulting from automobile accidents, trucking accidents, medical malpractice, airplane accidents, construction site and industrial accidents, premises liability, and defective products. Contribution to the Community – Attorney Matzus believes in giving back to his community. One of the most rewarding moments of his life occurred when he became the founding chairperson of an annual charity race benefiting the Pittsburgh Steelwheelers, a group of local wheelchair athletes that compete in competitive sporting events.  Overall, Mr. Jason Matzus has helped raised approximately $200,000 for this organization.
